Author Bio

 The author has lived all his life in New Zealand. He has been an ordained priest for 40 years, deeply involved in people's life and death issues and stuggle with faith and belief - a struggle he himself is constantly engaged upon for himself. The novel arises out of the author's existential confrontation with his own probably death from an aggressive cancer (from which he recovered). It also reflects his deep love of music and art and the integration of culture into his overall vision of the universe.

Synopsis

The story revolves around the relationship of a young composer and a mature artist. Into that relationship comes the reality of the artist's immanent death, plunging the pair into crisis and resolution of that crisis. In the process of resolution they are drawn to explore the nature of death, the meaning of life, the creativity in music and art, the many dimensions of relationship and the nature of spirituality.
